Thanks to metadata, the digital badge contains information of various types (e.g. the initiative that led to the achievement, the institution that issued the certification, the recipient of the certification, which skill was acquired, the method for verifying that the objective was actually achieved), and makes it verifiable in a fast and secure manner. Through the issuing of Open Badges we offer added value to the people who are trained through our initiatives. ON DEMAND An Open badge is: • portable : it is registered on special collection sites so that it can easily ‘dialogue’ with other information systems and always remain ‘linked’ to the person who obtained it • sharable : the qualification obtained becomes public, can be posted on the web, shared on social networks and made visible outside the company or LMS platform where it was obtained • verifiable : the data recorded within it describe what has been acquired in a compact format that facilitates the verification of skills, also with a view to the mobility of people in the world of work.
